2024 Boston Boatworks Daychaser 48

The Daychaser 48 was developed by the Barton and Gray Mariners Club. Designed by Doug Zurn and built by Boston Boatworks, the DC 48 combines traditional timeless design with a modern functional layout optimized from thousands of hours of hosting club member cruises all executed with the expert craftsmanship Boston Boatworks is known for. The result is what many would regard as the world's finest day boat.

SOAVE is a 2024 Daychaser 48 built for a private owner, and with very few engine hours (less than 60) SOAVE is a nearly new offering available for immediate delivery for the private owner or large yacht harbor tender. 
The Daychaser 48 is powered with twin Cummins 550 H.P. diesels, Hamilton Water Jets and Glendinning joystick control with integrated bow thruster control and optional dynamic positioning affording the operator maximum vessel control, all in a shallow-draft package.

Boarding SOAVE is made convenient by amidships removeable boarding gates with fold up steps on port and starboard sides or from port or starboard sides of the swim platform. A moveable grab post offers a steady assist at either gate or the transom.

The layout of the DC 48 is flush-deck living and entertaining at its best. Starting from the BEACH CLUB aft with large deck space, comfortable aft facing seat the beach club features a superyacht style hot and cold water rain shower. The COCKPIT features L-settees to port and starboard plus a forward facing bench seat offering comfortable seating for 8 or more. All seats feature storage below the seats. The powered retractable sunshade offers protection for much of the cockpit.

Inside the pilothouse enclosure, the BAR/GALLEY features two custom bar stools, bottle and glass storage, sink, top load freezer, two draw refrigerators and ample trash/recycling storage. To starboard there is a U-SETTEE with multi-leaf powered dining table that converts into full cushioned platform (berth). Storage and two drawer refrigerators are built into the settee. The HELM STATION features twin custom helm seats with foldable armrests and foldable teak footrests. The helm offers twin Garmin fully integrated screens, and the full array of independent controls along with the Glendinning gear, throttle and joystick controls. Visibility from the helm is above average including the single piece windscreen, and large sliding opening windows to port and starboard.

The BOW LOUNGE offers ample seating for 5 or more with removeable varnished teak cocktail table, fixed varnished teak end table, and ample cup holders. A generous storage space and access to bow thruster is below a generously sized hatch. All bow lounge seats lift for storage below.

Below, the forward lounge area features an OWNER'S WORK STATION with custom swivel office chair, desk, desk light, ample storage and ships clock and barometer. The LARGE-YACHT HEAD is a luxurious space with custom appointments. There is a full size glass enclosed shower, marine toilet with mahogany cover, large sink area and very generous storage. Just aft is the "NAPPING BERTH" offering a great space for young ones, crew or owners to have a private rest.

SOAVE features varnished mahogany trim throughout the interior and an artistic wood grain finish on the exterior for a museum quality low-maintenance finish. A full set of canvas offers full protection to SOAVE ( furniture, bow lounge, full cockpit, windows, pilothouse enclosure).

SOAVE has been professionally maintained and is in the care and custody of the builder. It is available for showing during normal business hours or by arrangement and is available for immediate delivery.
